It simply sends a statement " We don't give a fck about you".

Quite frankly I don't give a fck about the company or most of the customers for the last 5+ years.
Agree with this guy, only reason we are getting 2nd class stamps is because they're cheap bastards who don't give a f**k. Union of social media shouting about it but doing f**k like usual. Same old, same old.

Honestly, we should have seen this coming after the ODM failed to take root this autumn. EP Group's gotta make those £300m savings somehow!

The CWU are moaning about it now but when did they first know about it?

While many don’t even use the stamps its the principle of the thing. A cheap pre meditated attack on staff.
Not after Christmas like lasts years complete over time ban but right before the madness starts.
All it says is we can treat you all like dirt and you will accept it.
The Union should in my opinion call for a complete work to time across the board

Would not happen before Xmas, the union would be required to go through the entire updating member records and balloting process.

Its a pity staff then don’t take it upon themselves across the board to work to time.
Even for a week

All opinions are valid, but when they're presented as fact, despite nobody on here knowing the actual reason for going 2nd class, they cease being opinions and become part of the conspiracy theories that drive negativity and undermine the business.

That could be construed by RM to be unofficial industrial action.

We've lost a maximum of £50 on the stamps how much would we lose working to time? Even if we did can you ever see RM backing down and then sending out 1c stamps?

Do you work over your time in the mail centre?
If you tolerate this, then your paid break will be next

If most or everyobe suddenly starts working to their time then it would almost certainly be construed by RM to be unofficial industrial action.

Any deviation from normal practice, even if normal practice is at odds with what should happen in the first place (ie doing the job properly), is legally construed as industrial action. It's been discussed here many many times and I've written this explanation at least once before.

What would the result be if say an entire office decided we are working to time ?

Yes its only stamps, its more about the disrespect being openly shown by a management team who want us to bust are balls for the next 7 weeks while laughing at us
