The Communication Workers Union represents over a quarter of a million members employed in Postal, Telecommunications, Information Technology and related industries including Financial Services. We have the following opportunity at our modern Headquarters in Wimbledon.
The Officer of this busy Department needs a policy assistant to support the work in representing and promoting the interests of CWU members in the Postal Business.
You will need excellent skills in communication, organisation, research and people management. It is essential that you are a good team player and can work in a highly pressurised environment to tight deadlines.
It is important that you have a sound knowledge of industrial relations processes and you will need to develop a comprehensive and in-depth knowledge of the Officer’s role and responsibilities.
You will be expected to manage the department on a day to day basis, research and analyse information and prepare briefs, reports and correspondence, to a high standard.
