VR has been used as a carrot from the start it's compulsory redundancy which is off the cards..... till 2028

With the current staff shortages, people leaving and the inability to attract new employees I think by the time the new ODM is in there will be no requirement for any job cuts.

JFC. First it was 3-on-4, then it was 11-on-12, now 7-on-8. I feel like I'm in doing fractions in double period Monday morning maths again.

Same as the announcement of 10,000 job losses in October 2022 and the following VR preference exercise. Everyone clamoured to apply and seemingly no-one got it because 20,000 quit of their own accord in the same time period. Considering all the regulatory fines in each year since, the company should really stop turning the screw so carelessly.

I doubt it's going to be something as simple as chopping 8 into 7 for instance.
I could pick 4 duties in ours and maybe another 7.
The 4 duties take longer (in man hours) to deliver than the 7.

Easily 2 hours difference from one to the next.
