TNT Post has been ranked ahead of rival postal services provider Royal Mail in a recent YouGov survey to determine the UK’s strongest business-to-business ‘superbrands’ for 2008.
The relative newcomer to the postal services sector was ranked number 118 in the Business Superbrands survey, 22 places ahead of Royal Mail. The survey canvassed the opinions of over 1,500 business professionals.
TNT Post has been a downstream access provider for four years, and has seen a 60 per cent growth in its mailing volumes over the past 12 months. It now delivers an average of 160 million items every month.
TNT Post chief executive Nick Wells comments: “We are delighted that TNT has been awarded this prestigious status of a business superbrand. Evidently, the combination of both TNT Post and TNT Express in the UK has not only strengthened the TNT service offering to customers but also our TNT brand and achieving business superbrand is testament to this.â€

Does that figure include the final mile downstream access which we deliver ? - if so TNT are as good at manipulating information as our bosses are.
Perhaps that's why we are being told that mail volumes are dropping - if you are a delivery postie you are just imagining DSA, it is actually credited to TNT.

We wish to serve - but we will not be servile

The YouGov polls are all internet based and frequently criticised for not being properly weighted. As an example on 7th April YouGov had Boris Johnson 13pts ahead of Livingstone yet on the 9th the Ipsos Mori poll had Livingstone 2pts ahead of Johnson. And who are the 'business professionals' polled. The same muppets who have outsourced this country's industry to God knows where and brought the banking system to the point of collapse? In the real world - despite the best attempts of those running it trying to ruin it - Royal Mail is a far better known brand than TNT.
