Applying for a job on RM website when already staff

Post by Jonathan Alsatian »

Is the Royal mail jobs website only for external applicants? Or can people already employed by RM apply? The reason I ask is there was a job i fancied on there but its not on success factors internal site so I've applied for it. I was thinking there would be a question about whether I already work for RM but there wasn't. I submitted my cv so if they look at that its clear I already work for RM. But knowing how chaotic the recruitment process is nothing would suprise me

Is it a postie job, if so can you look into transferring to that office ?

I don't know if this is any use but hidden in the people app under people policy then recruitment there's an internal transfer registration form I think this link should work

My question would be, why is it being advertised externally before being put on the board, if it is a vacant duty at your specific DO?

That should be even easier have you tried speaking to the collection manager ?

I haven't had the opportunity to speak to the collections manager but will definitely try and catch him at some point though

I'm not sure why its not been advertised internally first. I find when I look at the success factors website via the link in the people app theres very little advertised on there despite lots of vacancies on the external site. Maybe they want new people on new (inferior) contracts rather than internal transfers? At first I thought there must be a fault with the search function on there because it threw up so few results

Yeah someone recently posted it on here, unfortunately can't remember who it was to give them credit for finding it.
