Re: Pension query
Ok, thanks. I think I’m starting to understand finally. lol!!
So if I was to retire at 60 I’d get an annual pension of £1,931.69
And at 65 I’d get £1,931.69 + £1,062.75 ?
I’m also guessing that there’s no lump sum with this?

Re: Pension query
To calculate your lump sum you take your annual pension and multiply by 20.Walter sobchak wrote: ↑27 Oct 2025, 05:18

(That is how long they think you will live I think)
To simplify your maths.
A £2000/year pension gives you a total pot of £40 000.
25% of this can be taken tax free. = 10 000.
This now leaves a pot of £30 000 which divided by 20 gives you an annual income of £1500.
Things might change. Chancellor's change.
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

Is that projected lump sum just from the capita pension or from both the capita and RMPP pensions combined?
Also was it for age 60 or 65?
