Workers at DHL have voted to vote overwhelmingly on a deal that will give some members as high as a 33% pay rise.
Following the closure of an e-ballot, Communication Workers Union (CWU) members at DHL have voted in favour of an improved deal, which had been negotiated by the CWU in previous weeks.
The deal, which the union recommended workers accept, was voted through by 85.7% by workers at the global logistic giants.
For warehouse operatives and van drivers, the new offer is a £1000 per annum increase – a pay increase of 33%.
As well as this, drivers contracted to 37- and 37.5-hour weeks will receive a £1100 per annum increase and those contracted to 45-hour weeks receiving £1200 per annum increase – a 23.3% and 10.7% overall rise.
This offer came from a rejection of an earlier deal by members, whose leadership in the union were mandated to re-engage in negotiations with the employer.
The revised pay deal will come into effect as soon as possible, as well as having this offer backdated to the 1st April 2025 at the closet opportunity.
CWU National Officer Tracey Fussey said: “We are pleased that DHL members have chosen to overwhelmingly accept this revised pay offer, this is one that we believe best reflects their hard work and dedication to delivering a service that they can be proud of.”
“I would like to thank all members for engaging with the ballot.”

So they've got a 33% pay increase which is £1000 more per year. Does that mean their annual salary is now £4000 per year??
