Evri is planning to increase the capacity of its Southampton centre as part of a wider £36m investment.
The upgrade is part of the company’s UK-wide plan to strengthen its network in preparation for this year’s peak period.
Martijn de Lange, chief executive of the Evri Group, said: "Following a historic year for Evri, with our acquisition of Coll-8 in Ireland and our landmark merger with DHL, which is due to complete imminently, we continue to invest significantly in our operation to ensure we deliver the best possible service to our clients and customers, especially at the busiest time of the year for our industry.

Evri is also expanding its Barnsley superhub, including a £4m investment in a new small item sorter and a £25m third-tier upgrade.
This will enable the site to process up to 5.5m parcels per day by Christmas 2026.
