I know there's a section for this but it seems a little quiet and this is more about RM practices if my understanding is correct.

Is it right that in order to quality for the extra payments you must do overtime for 6 months in a row and if in one week you do not, no payment is due?

It's all in the section you refer to. You must work 8 hrs OT per month (it's roughly a month) for a six month period to qualify.

The definitive document is in the thread as well as a post that someone has put up for the qualifying periods for this year.

Thanks, I did look but didn't get a specific answer. The bit about the breaking of the 6 months streak is what I'm wondering about. Say a week where someone cannot do overtime or is off sick

So if you do say 2hrs OT per week in a four week period you qualify. If you're off for a week you'll need to bump up the OT in the other 3 weeks to get your 8 hrs OT In to keep the qualification going. Ironically being on holiday can disqualify you from getting the average holiday pay!!

That was actually one of the reasons I asked this. We had an overtime ban in January which could have stopped those doing overtime before Christmas getting it. Then another in May, which could impact those on OT getting towards 6 months again. I would not be surprised.

If i missed out on Average Holiday Pay due any overtime ban or being on Annual Leave id be straight onto ACAS.

Im no legal expect but the union watered down our right to Average Holiday Pay using the 8hr cause.
