November holidays
Was told today by our manager, whilst trying to book leave, that as of next year after the first week of Novevember the rest of the month will be blacked out. We were previously allowed the first 2 weeks of November. Anyone else been told this? Or is another reduction in holidays we have to suck up?

Re: November holidays
For us w/c 2nd/9th/16th are 'reduced' weeks (a reduced number of staff are allowed leave, whatever % or
number of staff that is, who knows?), after that nobody is allowed leave until Christmas (or 'peak' lol) is done.

Re: November holidays
The company has been trying to black out weeks 46-48 (the back half of November) for the last ten years per explosive Tracked volumes, however the Christmas exemption period is and remains purely the first Monday of December to the first working day of January (3rd in Scotland, 2nd elsewhere). If it was so important then maybe they should have proposed extending it alongside all the other changes they had Ofcom waive through in July.
The machine stops.

Re: November holidays
So they block out all of November save the first week with no objections from the Union?

Re: November holidays
I have a holiday booked for the 3rd week in November, so there’s no way I’ll be cancelling that and losing money.
