OK Cat amongst pigeons time. I dont do them at all. I have a deal agreed by the dom that my cover does the whole lot on the day he covers my rest day. Also anyone else that covers my rest day. Cant stand them myself, creating more waste to be thrown away and most people dont want them. Two years back the B.B.C had a t.v. prog called brassed off britain. Top of the list that pissed britain off was........ Yes junk mail. Plus we are postal men and women not advertising leafleters. Difference? any old prat can stuff unaddressed s**t through letterboxes and get paid peanuts for it.

Well lwhat i do i have counted out my duty so say for example my first section of walk is 140 points i would tie up the 140 (first 80 i get rid of then get to drop box) i normally do this with every section, i will tie up the correct amount 20 per bundle or so, if it is heavy and i dont think i can carry my first 80 i just do 40 in that street and the other 40 the next day and do part of a different section.
It works for me then i know i will be totally free of d to d 's in certain parts.

I'm just a reserve so I can't really judge how many to do so that's the main reason I do all mine on a Monday and the fact if I get rid of them then I don't have to look at them again for the rest of the week (and not forgetting that I can get moved off a duty and put on another one at minutes notice)

My RM2000 frame is in 6 columns - 3x4 blocks and 3x3 blocks of 20 slots (approx) per block. 1 do 2 columns on the first 2 working days of the week leaving one for each other day with two of the short columns left for the busier days. Doing the DTD's in columns means you do not get a run of more than 20 houses at a time with them in and spreads them throughout the walk.

I try to get rid of mine on a Monday, always a heavy day for me because i never touch Mailsort on a Saturday so I'm going to most houses on the Monday anyway.Any houses missed just pull in through the week.Never prep into the frame just pull them out from the back of the bundle while I'm delivering.Works for me but not for all ,because i have fairly big hands i can hold the bundle and up-to three lots of leaflets between my fingers and just pull them out separately between drops.
