Transport for Wales (TfW) has revealed that it has joined forces with InPost to install parcel lockers at seven of its stations across South Wales.
InPost describes itself as “a leading provider in logistics solutions for the European e-commerce industry”. It provides parcel lockers, which it says are secure and easy to use, and which help to make online shopping more convenient.
The availability of these lockers on the Transport for Wales network will allow the operator’s passengers to send and receive parcels while making their daily commute or journey.
TfW currently has seven active InPost Lockers across its network, at the following stations: Rhymney, Caerphilly, Radyr, Merthyr Tydfil, Pontypridd, Lisvane and Thornhill, and Llandaf.
Now that these have been installed and activated, it has begun work towards providing InPost Lockers at other locations across the Transport for Wales network, although it has not yet revealed which locations these will be.
Transport for Wales has also ensured that most of the lockers have bilingual vinyl wraps, with wording in both the Welsh and English languages. Wales’ national transport operator describes this as part of its commitment to the Welsh language.

InPost already supplies parcel lockers to stations run by other rail operators, including more than seventy lockers on Govia Thameslink Railway‘s network, and at least one hundred lockers at Northern’s stations, following a partnership launched in 2021. InPost was formed in Poland in 1999 and now runs an extensive operation across Europe.
