Hire vans collections

Post by neviboss »

We were told a while ago we couldn't use hire vans for collection S/A's, however at least one local office are using them, has it been decreed, or is it our DOM throwing his weight around?

And at ours too. In fact quite a few of our collections staff have had permanent hire vans since last Xmas (if not before that) due to the later start times meaning the red fleet isn’t back in time, or supposedly something like that. We’re apparently not allowed to touch their collections vans (hired ones)!

Is your office accident prone? :Very Happy The hire companies charge Royal Mail for the tiniest bit of damage, must cost them a fortune.

We have them in our area but it seems to be the same few chosen ones who get to use them.

This is why. It's not a 'rule' per say, but the more they're used the more likely they are to be damaged.
