If your duty finished time is 4pm and you finish your own duty plus tracked parcels on overtime by 5pm you’ll only be paid 1 hour for the extra tracked parcels instead of the standard rate of 3 hours for tracked on overtime.

If you finish at 7pm you’ll be paid 3 hours extra etc.

Overtime pay will only begin after your scheduled duty time ends

So how does this work for early overtime currently in my office if i do 1 hour OT early and i finish 1 hour early i lose my overtime forcing you to work your hours

If you are coming in 1 hour before your time and finishing 1 hour before your time then I'm not sure how you are working overtime?

Usually these type of things are celebrated by those that think it won't affect them, i.e. if you don't do any overtime.

Yeah it's a step towards being paid for the time you actually work, it would be easy to say oh dear what a pity never mind to those still lucky enough to be ghosting but what if they took it a step further and started averaging it out over a week so if you went over one day you wouldn't get paid if you finished early on another occasion.

Who on earth thinks this is a good thing with the current overtime rate? If you are going the extra mile after a slog round and are fatigued. Deals should be struck like previous times for your extra hard work. If you want to go faster on the overtime clearance thats your choice, people have a life outside of work they might want to get back quicker too. Shouldn't be punished for working harder...

yes, and it also draws attention to individual performance when the bean counters analyse what they are getting for their money.
It shouldn't be encouraged at all.

You are correct in what you're saying but what is the answer? Continue with ghost overtime? Bring back job and finish?

You are entitled to come to an agreement with the manager for your worth, for the completion, no matter the time. Its a job, its your time, your body. You sell your worth to the business at the end of the day at a cost. Nothing more to it. If the payment isnt your worth for the extra graft, do your round and go home.

Perhaps senior management look at it differently and feel its just abusing the system? As far as I'm aware there's no ghost overtime being sanctioned in my DO and we seem to clear all the Tracked every day.

Looks like QOS is going to take a nose dive as quite a few regulars who do overtime on top of your own duty will now decline extra work.
I don’t need to work till 7pm at night to be paid an extra poultry 3hrs for tracked or half a walk at a reduced rate then taxed to high heaven on that too.
If I know I have overtime I’ll work my break/come in slightly earlier to accommodate the extra work load.
