How the RM can find out that someone put a fake year but still over "25 years" as his age. No customer complaint made as per the manager. How come royal mail knows the age of the person the parcel being delivered to and manager complaining to the postie that he has put a fake age in this case as 1960 as birth date.

……..this myth that there’s all these mystery shoppers lined up by RM to catch posties out! Where the F**K did this come from? Again it’s just a line that people love to repeat without actually thinking about it.

Somebody apparently fell for a mystery shopper leading them astray with a AV this week in our DO, it seems do they exist, I wonder if Amazon and Evri etc also use them to ty and catch their delivery drivers out?

Do they even deliver Amazon products requiring age verification? I scanned my eyes across the packet sorting yesterday and it was just york after york of Amazon logos.

i only recently found out that our WPC got caught out last xmas by a mystery shopper.

To make things worse he said it was a long time familiar family customer who he has known for years and signs packages for etc …it turns out that it was the daughter who had signed up to be the mystery shopper and hadn’t told anyone.

Now i know he ‘shouldn’t' be doing things like that, however, he has 40 odd years experience and knows all the duties in the DO along with all the customers so he “did’ have good knowledge of when to take a chance / risk but alas, it still caught him in the end.

He told me the managers boss wanted to sack him, no ifs or butts, however, she had to put up a fight to keep him.

Regarding Amazon… i get age verification delivered in the form of vape juice and they ask for my DOB.

I haven’t missed a delivery yet so not sure if any delivery person would chance delivering the item if i’m not home. I did hear they only get paid for "delivered parcels" not “attempted" delivery although i’m not sure if this is correct or not?.
