Re: Short Staffed
I can't be R-sed but someone should put up a poll to find out how many of us have the start time and finish time mentality as opposed to clearing frames to 'avoid male piling up' and ensuing stress or serving @customers@ as best as possible.

Re: Short Staffed
As i am retired, about 4 months ago, i stopped my regular postie just to see what has happened since i left. Not a lot apparently, nobody has replaced me, other posties have left or are in the process of leaving, in fact it's all they can do most weeks just to deliver the tracked and specials. I haven't had mail in a week.twoloops wrote: ↑04 Sep 2025, 19:15I have to admit I relish, love & laughseeing my office in total chaos, we have quite a few off sick, two of the main sorters on annual leave, other regular sorters on their day off, these posties offered to come in, but where refused, most walks went out with a single postie taking just tracked parcels and 1st class mail, management did not seem bothered one bit that the frames where full of mail?
The job as well and truly gone![]()
Now this is a sub with 7 duties so scale it up and it probably gives you a idea of how a lot of offices are.
A year ago the least service in the office was 17yrs, in a years time i could see there only being one or two of the original workforce left if any, most of them are in the process of leaving and are just waiting for their money before they go.
It's a strange situation but i feel RM is in it's death throes before its full conversion to amazon/evri/anyone who delivers parcels.
Good luck to you all.

In reality the job as a delivery OPG is finished. The CWU is finished and the Linos are finished.
Go and get a new job if you have the courage to leave RM.
