A friend of mine retired in July this year and has asked me to ask .does he still get the back pay from April.pay rise.

Well, my last day is Sept 17th and I’ve been told I won’t get a farthing!

I have heard two different narratives.
First, you are not eligible unless still in service.
Second, that RM cannot legally specify that, but will not pay unless you are prepared to pursue and make a big fuss.

As in previous years those who were in post when the pay agreement was reached on 29th June 2025 will be eligible for the pay increase and arrears. The pay rise and arrears will not apply to those who left employment prior to 29th June 2025.

Many thanks for posting this. There are quite a number of us who have left recently who were receiving conflicting information about whether we would qualify for thie back pay.
