If the penny hasn’t dropped yet Lou it never will.
Have your terms and conditions got better? Why pay a fee to end up at the bottom of the downhill race a bit slower?
Do you know the definition of madness?
So you are happy to reap the benefits of a unionised workforce without contributing to it? I might be mad but there’s a word for that too.

The point is that it is a terrible deal and over half the fee payers couldn't even be bothered to vote either way. f***ing shambles.

If it was so poor why did those bother voting vote yes by a big majority.an no doubt the biggest moaners will be those that didnt bother to vote.

No one will ever know how I voted, that's always been the case for me.
There always seems to be a very vocal minority telling people their intentions and that they know what others have done. It's been the same every vote I can remember.
It's an absolute certainty that people will say one thing, then vote another or not vote at all, just to get on with their day.

Probably lack of faith. They could have offered up 2% a year for the next 5 years it would probably have snuck a yes vote somehow…

I can't understand the low turnout, surely most CWU members have an opinion one way or the other, so why then leave to others to decide the outcome.

My opinion is that some will have wanted to vote no but seeing it was endorsed by the CWU thought what's the point so didn't vote at all

About 1/4 of the workers voted yes.
Over 50% didn't vote!!!! Idiots :d'oh!
The CWU set out to suppress the vote by imposing an electronic vote without the memberships agreement. There was no attempt to get the vote out as it was widely accepted by the leadership that the deal is hated as much as the leadership at every level is. It's a hollow victory for the CWU and one more nail in the coffin. 40,000 non-members and counting. Some legacy that, driving the CWU into the ground.

Good luck if you think you will get a better result without a union.
Didn’t we get an enforced 2% pay rise from the company a few years back , yet folks cry about 4.2 % now.
Inflation today hit 4.2%
My point stands

The truth is most workers are complete donuts that have no idea what’s going on around them , I see it every day in my office and I’m not talking about new staff either.

Unfathomable to me why members of a Union would vote in favour of a pay cut.

But hey, that's democracy.

You seem to have misread the ballot. You were voting for a pay rise. You are getting more money. It is a rise in pay.
