Yes, there are bonuses like for example if you work the Christmas pressure period.

The job do have several things.

Normal fixed pay ie 34 hours a week every week and get paid for it on your floating week off (if you do 6 days a week job and get a week off)
Holiday pay
Full Sick Pay (after 12 months of service) for a couple of months.
Doors to Doors bonus which everyone hated doing. you could get about 20-30 pounds a week roughly. (Not in Christmas time)
100 quids Christmas money (Pro Rata)
Penison when you retired. (Big row about it at the moment though)
Bonus for share of profit in delivery office = Not very much last time it was 92p
Bonus for signing agreement ie 175 pounds last December and 400 pounds next week. (You probably won't get those bonus in first year)
Various allowance bonus ie early start/driving/coaching (No early start allowance as they move 5am to 6am due to 56mph crap)
Tips from customers at Christmas but it only benefit people with their own walk for long time. Food / Drink / Money / Gift
A sheet of First Class Stamps for Christmas Cards.
Plenty of Overtime if you are willing to do it.
Three years ago there is a bonus of 1,100 pounds for everyone but I didn't get it as I wasn't there longer enough.

So there is plenty of good things.

Full Sick Pay is for 26 weeks and then it reverts to half pay for 26 weeks. That is after 12 months of service.

Best things about pay?.

D2D , a supplement that if you complete you will be paid at a low rate supplement whilst the RM coins in the rest at your expense and your health , worse still D2D payments go missing leaving you to chase them up .

Overtime..again payments sometimes incorrect or missing, paid at your hourly rate IE : if you are on eight quid an hour thats what you get paid whilst on OT ,no time and half,no time and third etc etc.
Overtime ,if you are part time OT is capped and rates vary the more hours you claim...
If you are part time you cannot claim early morning allowances and will be paid a capped set time to prep a walk in , usually an hour and half yet you could be working three hours +
All bonuses you may be entilted to are pro rata
You get paid holidays to your contacted hours if you are on a 25hr contract you will be paid a flat 25hr week whilst off
Sick pay...see above

Take my advice ..jump ship the place is corrupt,my mate did best move he ever made......

If thats true at your place and I see no reason to doubt you - your mate did the right thing.

Matching the colours above.

Yes sometimes or OT Pay is wrong but the Lineo gets it sorted within a week. Only paid hourly rate until you reach 40 hour threashold then it goes up - at 50hr threshold it goes down but not to usual hourly rate.

No Cap on overtime at my place as long as you have signed the 48 hour waiver - see above for rates which are nationally agreed

Same at our place on the allowance - although any new Full Timers wont get it now because of the recent deal. Again no caps at our place you get treated same as duty holder and get paid the hours you work - if it takes 7hrs they pay 8 - if it takes 10hrs and you warned them they pay you 10

Yes that bit gets me - I very rarely work overtime as I have other commitments but at PT at my place does more hours than me - he should get the full bonus or they should work it out on total hours worked per year. Or perhaps average hours worked per week (up to a limit).

Yes - thats in the contract and I can't see them ever changing that

My friend left six months ago still owed sixteen hours and his full holiday pay entitlement
OT was capped by his dom he was never paid the correct hours he worked an example of this: he was asked to come in (old days) to throw off a walk he was on, he came in at half five and eventually went out of the DOFF at half eight for delivery a total of three hours work each day , the dom informed him that he was only paying him an hour and a half to prep the walk(no ips sorting though) thats a total of seven hours for the week paid and seven un paid.
My friend told him to stick it , when he came in on his normal times the walk was never thrown off..another bully boy tatic.
My friend also had missing D2D payments, missing OT payments that went weeks unresolved the dom gave MY FRIEND A NUMVER AND WAS TOLD TO SORT IT OUT HIMSELF....

No wonder he left , the Royal mail is without doubt the worst organised place he everworked at....
