Quiet for us recently, no idea how many direct yorks come through, we don't see them in processing, they get wheeled off the artic and straight over to the loading bays.

I’m envious! Never walk into an empty frame but even if i did and only had half a tray of mech, i still wouldn’t finish an hour early due to the sheer number of total tracked and mixed packets and the length / spread of the routes / boxes etc

So, what numbers of Tracked have you guys been getting the past month or 2?
I've typically been getting anywhere between 30 and 45 Tracked. I think it peaks on Wednesdays & Thursdays where sometimes it goes into the 50's or 60's....but overall I am averaging 42 Tracked a day for my single duty.

On lighter Mondays and Tuesdays probably about 60-70 plus and about 120-150 on the other days apart from Saturdays which are about 100.
We had about 2 quiet weeks about a month ago but it has been mental all summer.
Still only clearing one side of the 2 duties and tracked and on occasion a couple of bags off the other side.

That kind of explains you wanting it to return, don't you agree?
For balance, our shared van duties (which cover the greatest % of the office) have on average 160 tracked per day.

Very similar on my single duty, had nearly 50 today though, more than usual for a Tuesday.norris9 wrote: ↑05 Aug 2025, 19:41So, what numbers of Tracked have you guys been getting the past month or 2?

I definitely do not agree. That comment you have quoted is based on 1 single day that was extremely light. We've had 2 days like that all summer. Most summer days you can finish ~20 minutes early if there was no lapsing.
Anyone with sense would want a 'job and finish' setup - a fair duty size, single mail, no lapsing, go home when you are done. Shorter summer days, longer winter days. Most people who wouldn't want this are those who have kids to pick up.

If I had 42 tracked a day average over the past 2 months I’d want job and finish back too. We are more than double that so job and finish isn’t really a good idea. We would be out very late some days, not because we are ‘slow’ (your words), simply due to workload.norris9 wrote: ↑06 Aug 2025, 08:10I definitely do not agree. One of the postcode areas in my office still delivers all of the Amazon work rather than them using their own drivers. There is usually upwards of 200 Tracked on a shared van in this area, nearer 250 on a Wednesday and Thursday. In contrast, The rest of the office without the Amazon contract usually has around 100 Tracked on a shared van duty.

What is the CWU views on that? Does that specific town have shorter walks? Sounds absolutely scandalous.Ozzvaldo wrote: ↑06 Aug 2025, 15:43One of the postcode areas in my office still delivers all of the Amazon work rather than them using their own drivers.
