Probably be do your duty and then cover your partner’s side’s tracked specials collections etc then rotate. When it gets too bad maybe you get a reserve on to help. That’s what’s been going on at our place all summer.

I wondered about that too but it doesn't fit with staying on your duty as that's a load of the staff that can't stay on their own duty as you'll no longer have a partner, also there'd be quite a few excess staff in a lot of offices, in effect it's a big duty that only gets half the mail delivered on alternate days, hope they inform us soon about what the proposal is.

Edit...oh hang on did you mean two people do it together, surely that's not a cost saver it's a reaction to a workload that's far too big, or is it a cost saver in that when there's too much work it simply doesn't get completed, that's hardly a robust plan even by RM's low standards.

As long as the Tracked are completed daily, then the COMs get their bonus. It's called lying that the office is clear every day unless there's an audit.

We have been doing that between 2 of us for 5 years now. 1 full walk and the Tracked, Reggies, collections on the other. Unless it's busy then it can be as little as a row.

As above, same as us. Not uncommon for shared vans in ours to have 2 people on it only twice a week. Rest of the time people have to bounce from side to side. 4hr 20 to 5hrs depending how many days mail. Our office was actually looking forward to the ODM coming in as they would then be forced to deal with these issues head on. Doesn't look like we will get the chance now.

Theory is good but the Sunday will be an issue for most of the staff that don't work them.

And what about getting the D2Ds into the frame - that's a critical part of the job!

Seriously, they could save money on the lockers RM are buying/renting and fix the problem of non-drivers by having the caller's office open early to late all day and staff with non-drivers (who could put D2Ds in while there is no one calling for a parcel).

Well if it weren't for none drivers everything would be tickerty boo and drivers would have piss easy jobs and the company would be raking it in, boo none drivers

I work in a D.O with around ,edit 60 odd, paired duties, around 15 none drivers maybe a couple more, that's a lot of redundancy
