Dom Jolly's Complainers
Just seen this programme advertised on t.v, its on channel 5 on Monday at 10pm, amongst other things in the documentary it is going to highlight the 'junk mail' we deliver, in the advertisement it shows a postman delivering leaflets to residential properties and says discover how to return to sender, sorry i'm not good at explaining things but probably worth watching.

true.
i was talking with my trainer today and she was telling me about the abuse she gets/got from one customer inparticular... something about how a letter or package hadnt arrived...
now can anyone explain how the F***ing hell we are responsible for the sender not posting it... or posting it 2nd class instead of 1st class....
the public still think that all that happens is that one postman picks up the mail and rushes it to the adressee...
they dont have a clue about the fact that items have to go through a system and have to be moved from one post office to mail centre then moved to either the railnet mail terminal or to the airport if its longer haul aand then moved from the recieving raailnet mail terminal or airport to another mail centre and so on....
maybe if someonf them went out an saw what the job entailed they wouldnt verbally abuse us like they do.

One saturday n december it was absolutely chucking it down, It was 3 and I was on my last bag (was dropped into it) I had a customer came out to me and started shouyting about how her letters where wet, ands that I shoudl tell her how to talk to the person responsible for this, because shes likes to make a complaint. I therefore instructed her to go to the church in the morning and ask the vicar to neel besides her and pray to him above and complain to that geezer.
You will be surprise about the daft complaints we get,

MURDERERS. Need to dispose of a body? Simply parcel it up and post it to yourself via DHL. You will never see it again.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.
