How much managers earn in bonuses matter when certain targets and criteria for hitting the bonuses are detrimental to the workforce and CWU members.
So it IS the CWU's business

But for how long have managers been receiving similar annual bonuses, I'm not sure any CWU member is anymore outraged this year than in any previous years?Acca Dacca wrote: ↑25 Jul 2025, 18:42How much managers earn in bonuses matter when certain targets and criteria for hitting the bonuses are detrimental to the workforce and CWU members.

Many people have had outrage since the service has turned into a complete and utter shambles and the erosion of our terms and conditions - this year is no differentTopperGas wrote: ↑25 Jul 2025, 20:06But for how long have managers been receiving similar annual bonuses, I'm not sure any CWU member is anymore outraged this year than in any previous years?Acca Dacca wrote: ↑25 Jul 2025, 18:42How much managers earn in bonuses matter when certain targets and criteria for hitting the bonuses are detrimental to the workforce and CWU members.

But besides that point, my point was directly in response to those saying its of no business to the workforce/CWU what or how much the managers bonuses are.

As far as I’m aware the bonus this year was tied to having all tracked leave the office and be accounted for on delivery. Not sure how that is detrimental to CWU members.Acca Dacca wrote: ↑25 Jul 2025, 18:42How much managers earn in bonuses matter when certain targets and criteria for hitting the bonuses are detrimental to the workforce and CWU members.

For sure but that doesn’t affect my working day in any way. You would be right if managers were receiving the bonus for reducing sick absences, which was a thing previously, but this time round, I don’t care. If I did I would become a manager. It isn’t difficult to do judging by some we’ve had recently.Acca Dacca wrote: ↑25 Jul 2025, 21:50Well if it was, then thats still at the expense of the mailLouBarlow wrote: ↑25 Jul 2025, 21:40As far as I’m aware the bonus this year was tied to having all tracked leave the office and be accounted for on delivery. now it makes sense in the "get the tracked done at all costs" and the words in the managers office if out of all the tracked I do daily just one don't get a doorstep scan..LouBarlow wrote: ↑25 Jul 2025, 21:40As far as I’m aware the bonus this year was tied to having all tracked leave the office and be accounted for on delivery. Hasn't that been the case for years, I've been at RM around 5 years and since my first day it's always been a case of "make sure you deliver all the Tracked". I doubt they've been doing it just because they are worried a customer doesn't get their Vapes etc delivered on time!LouBarlow wrote: ↑25 Jul 2025, 21:40As far as I’m aware the bonus this year was tied to having all tracked leave the office and be accounted for on delivery. You might be right. As I mentioned though there was a period where it was linked to sick leave. That was definitely before 2020 though.TopperGas wrote: ↑26 Jul 2025, 19:01Hasn't that been the case for years, I've been at RM around 5 years and since my first day it's always been a case of "make sure you deliver all the Tracked".
