Looks like this is going well, all non legacy in my office have been told this week that they will now be required to work one Sunday in four, previously one in seven
What's the CWU doing about that?

Do you and your imaginary friend ski Sunday have to ruin every thread on this forum ?Surely Admin needs to act before this forum is no more.
Admin needs to get rid of trolls like you, not the ones who ask genuine work based questions (presumably you are talking to me?)
Apologies if it was aimed at the wrong comment
It wasn’t aimed at you, apologies accepted 😂😂😂

When the admins get involved I'll deal with them. If you don't like it mind your own business.

Still waiting for a reply, no rep in our office
The post 2022 contract is explicit. Its five working days out of seven.
Which leads to another question, as employees they should be entitled to vote on any office shift pattern but their contract would not allow them to work any pattern offered. Am I missing something?
That's a great question. The 5 over 7 doesn't align with duty structures as they are designed for pre 2022 contracts. The CWU aren't arsed because they don't care about the post 2022 contracts. Its one of the many problems with the post 2022 contracts that the CWU simply can't be bothered to sort out becsuse it doesn't affect the local rep, the area rep, the div rep and so on.

If they have enough seniority that they can sign for a duty then their days working Sundays should be behind them to fit in with duty patterns. RM will try and twist things to suit them.

I do hope the management will be working on those Sundays as per their agreement whilst we were losing money on strike action :dance :dance :dance

I'm wondering how this you must do Sundays works in practice, at our place they get done on overtime as there's a few volunteers who don't mind and want the extra money.

Reason is there isn't enough staff to give someone Sunday as a regular working day as it would leave insufficient staff for the weekdays, so do they just leave duties uncovered a double pisstake for the forced Sunday workers if they keep having double mail ? Is there plenty of staff willing to work days off or do the trackeds for aforementioned duties but only if it's midweek days ? that's a bit of an "I'm alright jack" attitude.

Yeah I thought about that when I just typed out my last post, so is it generally only reserves that get forced to do Sundays as part of their regular week ?

In my DO there's a fixed rota for Sunday staff so if they work a Sunday then they miss a week day, so there round either goes undelivered or other reserves are moved around to cover it. I don't believe anybody in my DO volunteer to work OT on a Sunday, only a handful even do it during the week.

What? To mind my own business? Ignore your constant anti CWU agenda? I’ve a sneaking suspicion that you’re actually a RM board member, it would explain a lot
