It really is just a load of happy clappy garbage.

I must work for a totally different company to the one people talk about on the app, it’s just utterly bizarre that there is this Royal Mail bubble where so many people “earn “ a living!

The good thing is that it looks like you can just instantly post your observations of the tripe these happy clappy types are putting on there.

Maybe we need a big push by delivery staff to actually post the truth on there in response to their self congratulatory bollocks.
I doubt that would be a good move, no doubt if you posted anything too negative then you'd be summoned into the manager's office for a quick chat!
Nonsense!!!! As long as you’re not abusive or rude then you’re fully entitled to post on there. You can’t put a social media app out for staff to “engage” with and then say “ oh but only post nice things please “.
Why are people so scared in this country of telling and facing the truth? This had been going for years and look where it leads…..you’ve only got to watch the news to see what happens when people shy away from the truth!!

Most of us in Delivery would quite happily post"the truth". The biggest problem is we can't even use/log in to Robin. Trust me I'm quite tech savvy, but there's others in the office who have been locked out of the people's app which thwarts their access to Robin.

:thumbup Open dialogue can't be conditional on only saying agreeable things. If a platform is set up for engagement then criticism - exactly if it's grounded and respectable - is not only fair, but essential.

And you're right, whether it's the Horizon scandal or political inquiries, silence and suppression has always made things worse. If a forum or social platform only welcomes positive spin then it stops being "engagement" and simply PR. Turning away from uncomfortable truths only allows the problems to grow unchecked.
On the face of it, shareholder value is the dumbest idea in the world.

Going then start posting the truth and see how long you can carry on doing it, you'll be fairly easy to spot when you do it so I'll know it's you doing it.

Have you managed to get on there yet? I only ask because I’ve been replying to posts on there and questioning things. I’ve been doing it in as respectful way possible as are others on there who are questioning RM PR. Obviously you’re not gonna last long if you go on there effing and jeffing calling people cnuts. When or if you manage to get on there have a look at what people are saying in reply to some of the happy clappy nonsense that RM morons are posting. The only problem if you want to see if I and others are doing this is that there are quite a lot of posts and replies and replies to those replies to trawl through but hey fill your boots.
On another note you can’t seriously believe that people are gonna be getting the boot for reading and replying to posts on an employee engagement app! Again providing you do it responsibly you have nothing to fear. RM may be arses but they still have to operate within the law.

Not sure it would go as far as getting the boot, or been worked out, but I know somebody posted something negative about our DO on Workplace and the next day they were called in for a "chat" and they've never posted anything similar again!! I doubt any COM/DOM wants to see their DO shown in a bad light.

Just checked a couple of emails I've had from our DOM support and a manager and they end in 'royalmail.com' not .co.uk

Wonder if that's the cause of your issue?

The only valid login for me to the site https://royalmailgroup.workvivo.com/login (you can try from a web browser on a computer, you don't need a phone) is my full PDA username I use in the morning to log into that to start with. Say it's JOHN.SMITH then use that. However, if it's something like GEORGE.W.BUSH that you enter into the PDA then you have to use the full name.initial.surname and then I have to use @royalmail.co.uk - the .com domain is not recognised. Make sure royalmail is spelled correctly as it's quite easy to muck that up with fat fingers etc. and be trying with royalmial.co.uk etc. and not notice. So it would be, as an example:

Code: Select all

john.smith@royalmail.co.uk
or

Code: Select all

george.w.bush@royalmail.co.uk
Anyhow, the payslips are still on the People App at the moment. "Robin" is just RMTv on steroids and a bunch of announcements.
