I dunno about u Acca but if it's heavy I normally put it down in their porch or somewhere and now get them to sign. Where as before you could take the pic then hand them the PDA and sign and away. Not now though. Put box down customer, someone else in house takes it away whilst the person who answered the door signs and boom you have nothing to photograph. It's a system made by someone that never done a deliver ever before!Acca Dacca wrote: ↑20 Jul 2025, 00:07Im sorry but why is it anybody else's fault but your own if youve given the customer the parcel and forgotten to take a picture after the very first time that happens? Cmon now![]()

Yup, because the sender is the customer. So if the recipient puts in a complaint it's the posties fault, whereas if the sender (customer) puts in a complaint, it's the business' fault.abuch1980 wrote: ↑20 Jul 2025, 10:48I dunno about u Acca but if it's heavy I normally put it down in their porch or somewhere and now get them to sign. OPGs can be sacked without reason in the first 24 months of employment. A great reason to have a transient workforce

Why does signature even exist as an option. Any courier that's not RM either take a photo of it in the doorway or you have to quote a one-time pass code to the driver, which needs to match up with the one-time pass code on their PDA.

The only reason I can think of is just in case the photo is a rubbish one (blurred or black for example) then the sig is backup proof of delivery.SpacePhoenix wrote: ↑21 Jul 2025, 02:32Why does signature even exist as an option. Also we are the only courier that leaves cards if nobody is in. Writing out a 739 seems a waste of time for tracked items as most recipients get an email or text anyway.

Not everyone is particularly tech savvy. Some people don’t trust texts and emails.
Just do the job as you are supposed to. It’s not that hard.

With good reason. There's a new scam or a data breach every other day. Ted Kaczynski doesn't sound so crazy now.
The machine stops.
