Its My Long Weekend

Finished about 13.00 today,not to busy

Now 5 days off

A 4 day week colleagues,you cant beat it

p.s. we get this every 3 weeks,and a Weds-Thurs off in between.

Those longer days are looking better and better - 1 get Thursday and Sundays off and spend at least part of them recuperating.

Teebs mate we love it.Even if we had to work till our time,and some do,we still dont care

that long weekend every 3 weeks is worth its weight in gold.I still believe we will make time out of the job when all the changes really kick in,its time AWAY thats now more important.

How would these 4 day weeks work if you were part time? A bit extra on delivery, but as in my office the only work in office is throwing our walks off, I can't see it happening for P/T. 5 days off every 3 weeks sounds great, a lot better than 3 days every 6 weeks. Saying that I used to do 6 days every week like most and that was easier than the 5 days we do now.

Oh yes mate,you work a bit harder but its worth it for the time off

Also if you work a rest day or days on S/A then the earnings are very nice.Youre right you would not get it being part time,but you could always try.

I want my weekends back. Sundays are just a recovery day for me, I never get a long weekend as I'm not on a rota and funnily enough I don't get given Saturdays or Mondays off. I never seem to have time for anything anymore and I'm like a zombie playing cricket at weekends.

Post your current dutys all of them,reserves,rest day covers,drives ect and staff up here and i'll see what can be made of it.

We do floating week off policy with 110 walks (I think) which means we work full time/part time for 6 days a week and then get a week off every 6 weeks. Not sure if some people work 5 days a week or whatever. Probably about 20 drivers.

I had a 4 day duty for 4 years until September last year and loved the long weekend every 3 weeks then A-hole DUM put me back on 5 days.
