6. If there are to be future ballots what incentive is there for us to agree to it? Will there be financial reward?

This vote will only be on the pay rise and the other issues that have been agreed (improved VR terms, new incentive scheme, profit share, reduction in agency workers)

There will be a seperate ballot on all the unresolved issues. I would guess the incentive to vote yes on that one would be the fact it will hopefully include a better sick agreement and better overtime rates.

So realistically the NMW will be around £13 and hour next April, although I think it might be more,as the idiots in charge may want to sweeten the voters!

How far back are they going with "new starts?" In our DO nobody's been "made up" from 30hr contracts in 12 years, and we all have vastly differing contracts.

I'll take the rubbish pay deal if they can ensure people who regularly work 40+ hours a week don't get a "pro rata" shafting whenever a bonus is due, and don't suddenly find their income dropping by £150 a week whenever the company decides to stop paying overtime.

No matter how good Walsh and Ward think they are how the hell can they accept big pay rises and bonuses over the years when the very people they are supposidly trying to help suffer and struggle!

Yeah this is what they are offering us to be robots working our absolute arses off under constant intense scrutiny and being spied on, while DPKR group and all it's minions (managers) make an absolute killing! Yeah that sounds a great deal!

So years 2 and 3 related to inflation, what happens in the unlikely event that the ODM is successful?

A game of what if's ?

Lets say ODM is successful and CPI is 4% in year 2 which would trigger the review process - RM might say ok 4% it is for year 2 because ODM is making us alot of money.

Another version is ODM is not successful and CPI is 4% RM might turn round and say we cant pay 4% and will offer something like 3% stating that the money is not there.

Looks like we will have to wait till Jan/Feb 2026 to see where CPI is, As for new recruits they will have to wait till September to see how the CWU & RM are going to bring them in line with the rest of us.

I don’t recall claiming any such thing, “lol”. FWIW, I am happy with my lot. With my OT, I will earn well over £41,000 this tax year with these new rates. That equates to a blended hourly rate of £16.22. I was referring to a 4.2 per cent rise being nothing spectacular.

Can you supply us with a breakdown for a week's pay to show how you are going to earn an hourly rate of £16.22 when the above poster has suggested the new hourly standard rate for the first 40 hours work will only be £12.50(?) an hour?
