Do yourselves a favour there is no negotiations. The deal has been offered and all these talks are for them to come up with a statement that pulls the wool over your eyes again…..some of the worst T&Cs and working conditions around for little reward all overseen by a union lifting millions a year and unit reps who swan off while the rest of us cover the workload.

Working for RM is the first time that I’ve been a member of a Union. Could those with more experience tell me, if we all cancel our membership do we just take whatever pay deal that we are given?
If we were all to effectively sack the cwu,we have no representation at all

There's no payrise unless the USO changes, isn't that what the CWU said? That the USO savings would fund the payrise?

And why did the CWU spend weeks negotiating with the old board who clearly had zero power and where just seeing out time, until they resigned on mass on 2nd June?

And why is the CWU backing a payrise linked to USO reform that throws people on walks, park and loop etc under the bus?? Martin Walsh and Dave Ward couldn't walk 5 miles a day, nevermind 10-15miles.

And where did Tony Bouch get the f***ing ridiculously stupid number of a person on a walk averaging 12,000 steps from?? Thin f***ing air?

The CWU literally hasn't got a clue what it's doing. I'm done with them. They contradict themselves time and time again. Their 'updates' show them up for the disorganised, unprofessional, clowns they are.

You won't have a vote on the agreement, so no union -Royal Mail just imposes the changes and pay anyway. It's a badly written update as there is absolutely no mention of the pay rise

I don't recall the CWU ever saying that there was no pay rise unless the USO changes - but I could be wrong. But you make a good point about why the CWU would spend weeks negotiating with the old board that resigned when it was clear that they weren't going to sign off any lasting agreement. Those weeks of negotiations now look like wasted time or worse a smokescreen to give the illusion of progress. Surely if this was the case then the Union should have held off any promises about pay deals being days away.

Like I said, the CWU really needs to freeze the USO rollout until pay and terms are agreed and stop gaslighting the members with fake deadlines
On the face of it, shareholder value is the dumbest idea in the world.

We all know the pilots / trials are a mess . Why not wait till next year , sort the problem jobs etc out. . Trial other ideas? Its like a huge huge joke , and its on the hard workers at the bottom. As usual . Bouchy etc try doing a walk day in day out see how you get on.
