ah, so like an extended weekend.
I don't think we will have the staff to make most of the options work, so I fully expect a cobbled together slightly better than current attendance patterns.
We weren't given a choice, you might not get one either.
I thought the whole office had to vote on which option, that 2 in 5 is apparently what all the initial trial offices chose
2 in 5 wasn't an option for our office, only offered 2 in 6 or 9 day - we chose 2 in 6 - we still get fri/sat off one week with that, then sat/ Mon week after ...
Am I correct in anticipating that once we transition to the three of us working together, we'll all have different days off? Currently, we share the same day off with our partner, but would I be
correct in
saying this will change?
90% of our fleet at my DO only carry 2 people, they gonna have to spend a fortune upgrading.

I need clarification regarding the days off. I understand that you operate in two different vans, but I was under the impression that the three of us who selected the same duties would have the same day off. However, we were informed yesterday that we would all have different days off. Is this the correct information?

You will likely be on a day off rotation. You will either be job a, b, c, or d etc. Have a look at the duty option your office picked.

Thanks for your response. Can you explain why it has been organized this way? Do you still sign for a duty working in 3’s while having different days off? I expect you’ll be working with a floater, but I need more clarity on how this system works, as we haven’t received enough if any info about it.

All of you having the same day of would require 3 day off cover staff to cover your walks on the same days. If you extrapolate that across your office, it would increase the number of DOC staff required. Also it would mean that they were not in the day off rotation.

I don’t know which duty option your office picked, how large your office is, or how many non drivers there are: all of these things change how the options work.

If you are signing for 2 duties instead of one, that means less jobs to sign for ? And guys gals with good seniority spare etc ? Happy offices not

Highly likely you’ll have different days off so that when there’s no day off cover cos they’re off sick, on A/L or been put on something else that day there’ll still be someone who knows the 4 duties so they can be told to do Tracked across all 4!!!!!!

So is this letter from Ofcom to the chief executive fake then?
They are clearly stating that nothing has been decided and it's up to Ofcom. This was dated 2 days ago.
None of this should be implemented further than the trial/pilot offices until they get the go ahead which they haven't.

Hopefully it’s genuine. Be great to see all this fall flat if Ofcom turn it down😆
