We've been told that for the mech it'll alternate between the front half of a walk and the back half of the walk that won't get 2C.

For manual letters and flats there'll be a single frame for 1C, with the rest of the frames being 2C. We'll be boxing the 1C and 2C separate, before they go onto the york together and out to the DOs.

When all our jobs get automated out of existence, you'll find yourself out on delivery for your entire shift, and probably by that time there'll be owner-drivers.

In our pilot office, non drivers do 2 days mail and parcels every day, apart from their day off; on Saturdays, they put d2ds in the frames

Can you explain how they are able to attempt to take 2 days mail?

I guess all tracked and 1C are cleared on the 1st day leaving them with all the non tracked and tracked for the 2nd day plus double mail?

Are you using vans for the oversized?

I guess they are able to walk to the start of delivery and having bag drops?

Has there been a week with no D2D leaflets to put in on a Saturday?

Yes 1c and parcels taken by driver day before. Oversized taken by another driver on the day the non driver is covering a duty with 2 days mail/packets, leaving the non driver 2 days mail and whatever came in packet-wise that day.

As for d2ds, not happened yet, but if d2ds are low, some non drivers get sent out on hct with first class/packets ...

No bag drops - everything has to go out in hct, even if it means chucking stupid packets out for driver.

Our HCT walks occasionally have to get bags dropped out now with 1 walk, yes they will have some work taken off them but at the moment there's no way 2 days mail and packets will fit in the HCT

I didn’t think bag drops were a think now as who decides if it’s secure?
