People who don’t do a delivery get this payment but new people who do delivery everyday don’t. Only in Royal Mail 🤡
Hopefully they'll sort it in the pay discussions that are happening, I think the best option would be incorporate it into basic pay for someone who works on delivery rather than a separate payment.
I think within 5 years, 10 tops, ALL supplements and allowances will be gone along with paid breaks for everyone, at any office type.

I loathe doing them, esp as new contracts don't get the delivery supplement, anyhow, in our office the manager insists that even if your off for a week and they don't get touched, you have to throw them in along with that week's d2d, which is not fair as some floaters get away without doing any for most weeks..
No, its up to the manager to make sure they’re put in when your away, however long your absence is, including your rest day. Just an easy get out.
Exactly, I'm not too keen on them either but what Ive detested for the entirety of my employment is the piss poor management in delivery offices, they're nearly all alike in that whenever one goes another equally useless lazy awkward c*** replaces them.
If you come back from a week off and that s**t is still sitting in a box at your frame, bring it to your manager's attention and make it abundantly clear that doing someone else's work is going to impact on your workload. Do not just quietly get on with it or, worse, ignore it in turn.

Like everything else, whenever it isn't on the list of important things to talk about in the group huddle it doesn't seem to matter.
All D2D has a date you should not deliver out of date D2D some have time specific offers on them and vouchers.
If it’s your week off or day off you don’t do the D2Ds that haven’t been done - see the rep - manager should get done for delaying the mail :arrrghhh

The CWU is in terminal decline. Excluding a huge number of non members who through no fault of their own are not members is not going to help reverse the death spiral. You'd do well to heed the advice of your leaders who won't be best pleased with you f***ing off a potential source of income for their cushy lives. It's typical of the CWU to attack the weakest. Many non members can't afford the subs because the tinpot union sold them out.

All I've heard from the CWU over and over again over the decades is there is no alternative. When peddling the union to potential recruits the line is always the same - what if you get into trouble. Followed by offers for less than ethical companies hawking rubbish deals. The services model of unionism, mixed with the passive aggression, has failed. Workers will join a union that acts and speaks like them. They wont join the CWU because it is everything that workers are not.
