Sorry to answer my own post but we have the answer to God the universe and everything: -

"Does God exist" - Reply - "Early Collectâ„¢ gives you the option to pick up your mail from the Delivery Office. It's available from 06.00 to 08.30, Monday to Saturday".

"Ham or Cheese?" - Reply - "Find out the weight restrictions and costs before you post anything heavy".

To find out more about sending mail to the Channel Islands or the Isle of Man, including delivery times and exclusions.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
