How much should you get for these?

Didn't it used to be 4.67p or something similar?

Seems to be 3.5p this week :silenced

I think it also depends on London weighting. Like coaster, ours are 2.70p.

Go up - last year they were talking about increasing it to an unlimited amount and not paying us anything. :cfo :lfo

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Is not doing D2Ds seen as wilfull delay or is that a lino/dom scare tactic?

Exactly what is the contract between us and RM regarding this?

The problem I have is this week I was told I need to do the DTDs for a round I have been covering a week. I have no problem with that but

a) No one has really told me what to do, how to claim, what the procedure is (aside how much newspapers are worth!). I asked a lino and he said he would get someone to explain what to do in respect of them. Alas he never did.

b) Once I am put on a round for a week I am then taken off, put back on again next day then taken off again, thus giving me less time to get them done.

I know, I know, welcome to Royal Mail :)

You are only required to do 20% per day that is the agreement. Your cover guy should also do his 20% and anyone else who gets put on to the full round if your taken off for any reason. This is fairly well enforced at my DO.

Your manager should, at least at my DO, print off the claim form on Monday.

This claim form lists the roads your round covers and also lists how many doors to doors for each road. It also should list addresses that have multiple addresses but only 1 drop point so they need more D2Ds.

Also it should list addresses that have opted out of D2Ds so you wont deliver to them.

The form also lists how many D2D contracts you should have for that week and the Unit price for them.

Ask him again for the form as if they keep taking you off how do they know which parts of the duty you have either done or not.
