£400 bonus please clarify?
Been reading all this £400 bonus stuff and when we will get it. Can someone please tell me is this the phantom share thing that I got a certificate for last year? If so my understanding was we would get 400 shares a year for three years and only be able to cash them in in 2010? Or has that been scrapped and this £400 bonus this year something new?

Like everything else Lieton spouts, it's all bullshit. This is a publicly owned company, there can never be any sort of "share deal." What Lieton wants
to give us aren't "shares" in Royal Mail, but worthless pieces of paper instead of improvements in pay and conditions.
I'm a working man first and foremost. Lieton can stick his phony shares right up his arse, and if I never hear crap about "shares" again, it'll still be
too soon.

In bold black writing taken from Royal Mail Group Letter which was I presume sent to all RM employees.
We are delighted to confirm that because this year's profit number is ahead of target we will be paying the £400 on 30 May for the overall performance of the company to all eligible employees, paid pro-rata for part-timers.
So looks as if the date is set for the 30th May 2008.
