When I was working at my old office last Sept/October, I booked four separate weeks of annual leave for 25/26, these were approved and displayed on the annual leave sheet by the SISO desk along with rotas etc.
However I transferred to another office in January having worked there over Xmas - this I had actually agreed to for numerous reasons - and I am due to take my first week of A/L next week. But instead of being off, according to the rota I'm down as working. I've queried this with my present COM who has told me that apparently only two of my weeks are on his system (as opposed to four)
Now I wasn't asked by my new manager upon transferring about annual leave, so I assumed this would be handled by my old office, but it looks like - for whatever reason - they have left out some of my A/L on the database and have (unbeknownst to me) failed to disclose my full A/L dates to my new manager.
I've on my rest day today but I have messaged my unit CWU rep and will discuss the matter further tomorrow. I also have photos of the a/l sheet from my previous office as evidence and I have sent that.
Just querying where exactly I stand on this issue and what to expect? The idea that I should lose out because of what seems to be a managerial cock-up seems pretty unfair if you ask me...
I'm hopeful this all gets dealt with tomorrow, but if not, should I consider escalating to the area rep, or even the grievance route?
Cheers

What does it say on the People App?

Hitcher, I've just had a look on the people app and indeed just two weeks out of four are recorded, despite the sheet from my old office showing four being booked.
Without wanting to sound disrespectful, I can almost see that line being used as a bit of a cop-out in this case, despite the fact the a/l was booked, accepted and recorded on a paper form from management (backed up with photo evidence)

Screenshot your AL on the app as soon as it's approved or denied, every single time.TheGoodRebel111 wrote: ↑23 May 2025, 14:33Hitcher, I've just had a look on the people app and indeed just two weeks out of four are recorded, despite the sheet from my old office showing four being booked.

Any changes will always show up on the app, which suggests that two of the weeks were never entered into the systemSkiSunday wrote: ↑23 May 2025, 16:43Screenshot your AL on the app as soon as it's approved or denied, every single time.TheGoodRebel111 wrote: ↑23 May 2025, 14:33Hitcher, I've just had a look on the people app and indeed just two weeks out of four are recorded, despite the sheet from my old office showing four being booked.

Ostensibly that is how it should work. But here that hasn't happened. I've done my bit by submitting my leave on the paper form given to me by management last autumn, so shouldn't they be able to just input it into the system correctly as requested or if they can't honour those weeks off actually tell me.SpacePhoenix wrote: ↑23 May 2025, 19:54Any changes will always show up on the app, which suggests that two of the weeks were never entered into the systemSkiSunday wrote: ↑23 May 2025, 16:43Screenshot your AL on the app as soon as it's approved or denied, every single time.TheGoodRebel111 wrote: ↑23 May 2025, 14:33Hitcher, I've just had a look on the people app and indeed just two weeks out of four are recorded, despite the sheet from my old office showing four being booked.

Also, why is it correctly laid out on a paper sheet at the SISO desk but not on the database?

Your holiday wouldn’t disappear unless somebody has removed it.
