Well yes, but the point of the quote was that there may be changes to the DTS system. Do you accept that there may be?
It'll just mean that the DSA and 2C gets released more frequently. We can't tell what impact there'll be until it's known if many firms will use the new D+3 service
So that's a yes then.....

Yes big difference. That’s why i was surprised to see the hours all over the place, like, just keep it even apart from the weekends.
Also I thought it said there was no more double prepping etc either so what's this with the PT options.

(no idea what their plan is for part timers who don't want to start earlier but that's another issue)

Looks like you've got one of those pesky "rogue managers"

You'll be getting 2C through every day most likely as if a DP gets anything released ALL mail for that DP will be released, even if that mail is 2C

I specifically asked if PT would still be prepped. Yes was the answer….well the first lorry's letters anyway, same as it currently happens, i do the second lorry but we have people double prepping the first.

I am led to believe (might find out it’s wrong) that our DO wont be having different class mail on different days, it will just stay the same which is everything every day.

Your office "should" be having a vote on a duty structure for the whole office not x amount of walks on this time and x amount on that
I get the impression that because our DO is mostly rural that we are being treated differently to what was proposed in order to ‘make’ it work.

Hopefully our office will stay exactly as it is now to "make" it work

Just to add it won't matter if it's a non 2C day, the 2C will still be released if any other mail for that DP is being released.

Without getting into all the quotes, didn't they say that only mail due for delivery that day would be sent to the delivery office ?

The DTS if any item of mail is being released for a DP, it'll release EVERYTHING for that DP be it 1C, 2C or DSA, it won't matter if it's a non-2C day or not.

What they said is irrelevant. The releasing of ALL mail for a DP is a core function/feature of the DTS. That will not be changing.

We were told that on the non full delivery days that if there was anything else for the same address then it should also be delivered which obviously makes sense.

Further to that I'd assume it means the duty would be prepped as normal and everything else stays in.

Well something changed...

The early learnings are:

DTS still not working at the right level in terms of deferring letters, resulting in higher than expected call rate. This has now been fixed.

How will you deal with manual on non-2c days? Does it all get sent to us to sort, or none, or what?
