Today I was clearing up mail on a couple of walks and came across a T48 at an address I know well and is a rental property.
The package (Could fit thro letterbox) was sat on the doormat to a clearly empty property !!
Scanned on the RM app and it's been sat there 4 weeks.
This doorstepping has got beyond a joke and will raise this with the CWU rep on Monday as the Line Manager for Afternoon DPR / LATS is always boasting "His Boys" can do 3 times more drops than what I could achieve.

Yes, there all the same. My office the DPR is covered by overtime and lots of the parcel find there way into my packet bag the next morning. Despite fitting through the letter box. LAZY.

Don't you do the sorting . Shouldn't you be taking them if they fit through the letterbox.

I was specifically referring to the afternoon drivers (LAT), a staggering amount come back the next day.

How many walks worth of area do they cover? Wouldn't it be better if they focused on the "oversize" stuff?

It would but a lot of the LATs are small items, moonpig cards and contact lenses. Would be easier sending them out on the walks the next day but managers bonuses are on the line.

Do they arrive in the DO after everyone has headed out?
We done away with the wave 3 dispatch a good few years ago now, so any LATs that don't arrive in time to make the wave 2 dispatch will get failed and rolled over to the next day.
