Not hard to create them. The plan should be to accommodate workers with contract variations.Perseus wrote: ↑16 May 2025, 18:22And for offices with little or no singleton duties?tramssirhc wrote: ↑16 May 2025, 18:19Why would contract variations have any effect? Those with different contracts are accommodated with singleton duties. Bug that's not what Martin Walsh has done. He's thrown anyone with a deviation under the bus.

Imagine creating duties to accommodate people, from the deepest pool of work present.. Unthinkable nonsense.tramssirhc wrote: ↑16 May 2025, 18:35Not hard to create them. There is only so may singleton (HCT for instance) duties you can have around an office before you get a 2-3 mile walk to your first delivery point. So I respectfully disagree that it is easy to create them.tramssirhc wrote: ↑16 May 2025, 18:35Not hard to create them. Just get yourself a duty in a pilot office. Singletons on 100% of the walks, winning!Perseus wrote: ↑16 May 2025, 18:40There is only so may singleton (HCT for instance) duties you can have around an office before you get a 2-3 mile walk to your first delivery point. We weren't given a choice, 2 in 5, an extra 2 and a half hours a week, so much for the shorter working week.

I have no idea what's going on with these changes. I am part time, have the wally week, and finish no later than 2.30pm so as to do the school pick up. Suits me fine. Will this still be possible?

You will never know until September. Every DO is different but I doubt the wally week will survive under this CWU culturemoonjaguar wrote: ↑16 May 2025, 19:02I have no idea what's going on with these changes. How are you in a position to give any advice to Moonjaguar, a current employee, about impending changes, given that you’re an ex employee whose only “inside knowledge” comes from this forum? Maybe I’m missing something here. Are you back working for the business on a new contract?

It's one of the seven options but with an extra Saturday off thrown in.SkiSunday wrote: ↑16 May 2025, 21:32You will never know until September. Re: Will the attendance patterns get enforced by management?
We've been told by area managers that in Scotland they'll only be 2 out of 7 patterns available to us.
Because our finishing times are already past 4pm now.
They can't push it any later.
Scotland was sold out hard with those changes to times last year.
