It is distressing enough to find out your village post office is going to be shut as part of a controversial national package of closures.
But to be told by managers that an ideal alternative is almost 70 miles away just adds insult to injury.

The news came to the Gimingham sub postmistress in the paperwork telling her of the imminent closure of her business.
A poster designed to advise her customers where to go once the Gimingham branch was closed included details of alternative shops in the centre of the Suffolk town.
It also mentioned two nearby post offices in Southrepps and Mundesley. But it described the routes to them as 1.6 and 2.3 miles “along hilly terrainâ€

heres one for you
Post office in our area going through the closing procedure, had a week left before it was due to close, so guess what?
they only phoned them and said "your to get your long service award soon" FFS! it's shutting in a week!
would make you laugh if it wasn't so bad, has there ever been a firm run so inefficiently with so many knobs in charge?
