You Southerners are always behind the times when compared to us Northerners. :nana :nana

Had a customer come in this afternoon for a packet left at lunchtime, I explained to her that we require 24 hours before she can collect the item, as stated on the 739, she said 'oh, i thought it said 20 minutes' :arrrghhh I did :left: at her
So keep on moving, moving, moving your feet
Keep on shuf-shuf-shuffling to this ghost dance beat
Just keep on walking down never ending streets

Hers a classic, one postie last week got caught by the customer puting a 739 through the door while he was in :d'oh! He could not think of an excuse quick enough and the guy knew what he was up to,why do people do this :hmmmm
Agreed - I do the British gas engineers parts manifests in the RLE quite often and hear all the horror stories about the previous days card carrying public. Respect to the callers office staff and we should make every effort to put all helpful info on the P739's to help them. I wouldn't do a day in there for anything.

Well sometimes ,the cars in the drive ,you ring the bell twice, all the windows are open, you knock, they flit passed the glass door to the kitchen to put the kettle on ,you ring and knock again ,then they decide to look for their door keys, then they realise they've lost the belt for their dressing gown and Sheer Khan's got the run of the house ,but as they approach the door the phone rings ,guess which takes precedence . Oh you always come with the stuff I ordered at the worst time postie.

As we have so many (because we have space and the other local offices keep saying no) I or another designated OPG goes in and assists just by unpacking and distributing parts to the engineers boxes. We handle approximately 40 engineers with a hard core of 30 regulars and may get up to 8 blue boxes plus large parts per day. Once my check and distribution is done I go on IPS with the others and the PHG'S are then responsible for handing parts to the engineers and returning used or faulty items.
