Excluding LATS for now.Smoothbackground wrote: ↑19 Apr 2025, 16:52With this new way, the idea is that the manifest is done in draft during the indoor sort, which is then sent in draft and accessed by you in Outdoor while still in draft, meaning (i) you then add and/or remove errant stray missorts; (ii) you reorder the stops; (iii) you number your parcels, load up, hit the road…
All parcels that come into my DO are manually sorted into yorks for large parcels and half red expendable's for small items by walk number.
At this point they have not been scanned yet.
The people coming in at 11.00 until 14.00 (DPR Drivers) have never covered walks and have never been trained on sorting, they just scan everything from a york until 4 hours delivery time shows on the PDA. They have no clue about mis-sorts and the LM only cares that your route is 4 hours long.
Hence why we have 4 vans delivering in the same road at times
I'm due to move to this 14.00 - 20.30 shift at the end of the month and know I'm going to have problems with this LM as he always brags "HIS" drivers can do 30/40 drops an hour. Yeah they can but they doorstep without ringing or knocking, never P739 if they leave safe or fail the delivery.
He has informed me I won't be covering the section area I know and have covered for the last 4 years. I'll be thrown on different areas everyday.
Doing the job properly I average between 15/20 drops per hour on area's I know very well (In Daylight)
Come the time when it get's dark at 16.00 I'd like to know what the CWU Health and Safety policy will be regarding doing your whole shift in darkness.
