Who fills the lockers and how?
Deliveries drop parcels off at them, collections collect from them.

It's dead easy, machine just scans a QR code on your PDA.

One way of Ciphering profits from royal mail, we would of made a profit this year but we've spent millions on parcel lockers and rent on land I have shares in.
DK is a major shareholder in Sainsbury's so I'm sure he'll have got a favourable deal for renting the land for the lockers!!!

Very true. Sainsbury's is also a hugely profitable company which made over half a billion pounds in profit last year but still announced plans to cut 3,000 jobs as part of a drive to deliver over £1 billion worth of cost savings. The lowest paid workers are paying the price for corporate greed and as DK is a major shareholder in Sainsbury's, does anyone really think that he won't do the same in our company?
On the face of it, shareholder value is the dumbest idea in the world.

We've got (some) legal protections for 2 years, after that all bets are off.

Fire and rehire, gig economy / "self employment", using your own vehicle and premises. Everything will be on the table.

Probably good news for anyone on a round near to a Sainsburys assuming it's not you that has to load up and unload these lockers....

people on the other side of town near an Asda, aldi, Tesco etc are highly likely not going to choose for their parcels to go here.

Would be better if we could encourage customers to invest in their own 'parcel locker' at home. Royal Mail could partner with a parcel box/bin manufacturer/retailer to market them to customers through TV adverts and door2door leaflets....

Though I get it - those parcel bins that some people have are large and ugly....so it will probably be hard to sell many....so maybe that's why Royal Mail have never bothered.

How many 'parcel lockers at home' have you seen in a block of flats? None. We have at least 3500 blocks at my DO alone.
