20% income tax

Post by arsenalbob »

Looking at today's payslip I thought we were supposed to be getting a tax reduction from 22% to 20% but although I've been given a new tax code, I'm still paying tax at 22%. Any thoughts anyone?

You will have lost your 10% tax rate, and now pay tax at 20%. Your allowance for 10% tax rate was £2,330 (I think), so on the first £2330 after your personal allowance (£5340) you used to pay 10% tax, where as now all your wages after your personal allowance is taxed at 20%. Another STEALTH TAX from 'Bottler Brown' for the lower paid.

£400 bonus

Payments being paid on the 25th April providing your AGM has authorised it, apparantly there are a few issues, apparantly some AGM`s are stating that some staff are not being flexible enough so they are not authorising it.
