£100,000 plus salary for representation.
How happy are you with the CWU general secretary and his mouth pieces being paid over £100,000 per year salaries, for representing and fighting for our rights as OPGs?

Don't pay them then. Easy. You wouldn't pay for any other service you thought was bad would you?

I don't pay them. Do you? Would you pay for a service to degenerate your job from being 35% above minimum wage down to 2% above minimum wage for doing 100% more work?
But you still do because you are scared of being bullied by your superiors, whom your supposed protectors (CWU) are laughing at you with. Wakey wakey.

Management stooge? Lol okay then, read any one of my posts on here and educate yourself rather than blindly throwing insults. Sorry that you had to give up your moderator status, only to become a belligerent abuser on here. So I suppose the £6000 union fees I paid means nothing then?Sean06 wrote: ↑30 Mar 2025, 15:49They are not fighting are representing for you then obviously if you don't pay your subs.Londonsburning wrote: ↑30 Mar 2025, 15:15I don't pay them. Re: £100,000 plus salary for representation.
Absolutely not. The cost of the release for the full time release lot, the full time officials and headquarters staff is far in excess of the figure your quoting. The CWU is bankrupt yet throws the members money down the drain on representatives who the members never see, never hear from and receive no service whatsoever. It's a disgrace.Londonsburning wrote: ↑30 Mar 2025, 14:44How happy are you with the CWU general secretary and his mouth pieces being paid over £100,000 per year salaries, for representing and fighting for our rights as OPGs?

The bitterness of this. It's no wonder workers leave the CWU and won't rejoin.Sean06 wrote: ↑30 Mar 2025, 18:32Yep your no longer a paying member why should they represent you in any shape or form..try pwrfc they seem to be the people now.Londonsburning wrote: ↑30 Mar 2025, 16:48So I suppose the £6000 union fees I paid means nothing then?Sean06 wrote: ↑30 Mar 2025, 15:49They are not fighting are representing for you then obviously if you don't pay your subs.Londonsburning wrote: ↑30 Mar 2025, 15:15I don't pay them. No bitterness just a simple fact.why would a rep represent a non union person.tramssirhc wrote: ↑30 Mar 2025, 18:36The bitterness of this. I'm glad I don't sponsor a bunch of frauds who think nothing of throwing there members to the wolves anymore lol. I used to think they would back me because I paid my dues, now I know they don't give a flying f**k about there membership.

Re: £100,000 plus salary for representation.
It happens all the time. The CWU has no industrial strategy for giving reps the skills to represent around workers not in a union. Any engagement with workers not in the CWU should always be the opportunity to recruit them into a union. Many workers decline the offer as they are more capable than the person asking them to join a union.Sean06 wrote: ↑30 Mar 2025, 18:40No bitterness just a simple fact.why would a rep represent a non union person.tramssirhc wrote: ↑30 Mar 2025, 18:36The bitterness of this. Are you sure about that.
Podcasts, youtube channels. Constant question and answers sessions online.
The most active social media presence than any other union in the UK by far.
Martin often posts on here with detailed responses and insights into their direction of travel and intentions in negotiations.
You may have opinions on whether their salary is justified but to say you never hear or see any communications from them is simply untrue.
It's a thankless job from unit rep to the top level so criticism is part of the job but untruths have to be called out.

They do not answer though

Without a direct answer
Any debatable question or critique is dismissed out of hand
