More than 700 sub-postmasters were prosecuted across the UK, including about 100 in Scotland between 2000 and 2014.

Scots postmasters “branded thieves” amid the Horizon scandal have finally won compensation.
Selina Rashid spoke to the Record last year, saying the Fujitsu software at the centre of a pubic enquiry had caused a £10,000 black hole in the family Lanarkshire business accounts.
Now dad Abdul, who Selina says was “de-graded” in an audit after taking on the post office, has been awarded a high five-figure sum from a Government scheme.
Selina, 41, who runs the New Stevenston post office with her dad, urged other postmasters to keep fighting.
She said: “My dad finally got his compensation last week. We’re really relieved they’ve awarded it as there are a lot of people still waiting. I made it clear how badly my dad was treated and we’d been called thieves and not been given any help from the Post Office.
“I would say to other postmasters, keep pushing and asking questions.”
