Re: new trials
That’s very similar to our new times in our imminent revision, and we’re not a trial office

Re: new trials
So that probably amounts to an extra 20 minutes of walking everyday?
I've noticed that on the days we are out the door 20-30 minutes earlier and get given lapsing, that the distance I am walking means I end up falling asleep pretty early and can end up sleeping for 9 to 10 hours.
I have no idea how people do regular overtime or work their day off. They must be sleeping a lot.

It depends on where you work in the country, it’s not the same everywhere. Ask your rep to show you all the options.

Re: new trials
To be fair, apart from offices who are very near a local sporting club this went bye the bye a while ago.
Realistically you needed to set off at 14:00 to get to the football, it was 13:30 for my team so it went to midweek games, holidays and the odd Saturday off a long time ago.
Another avenue of pleasure blocked off.

That will be with a 40 minute break I assume, work your break and it's a half 2ish finish not ideal but at least you might get the game on t.v

Why does it have to be 8:06?! Why not 8am. Baffles me so much.

Re: new trials
Is this in an ODM trial location? All less than 8 hours?

Cause they know people will start at 8am anyway and they'll get 6 minutes a day free work = 2h free labour per postie per month.dirtylibrary wrote: ↑21 Mar 2025, 06:59Why does it have to be 8:06?! Why not 8am. Baffles me so much.

Re: new trials
lol and why is the 2 hours a significant figure, people have been working at least 5 hours a week for free for the last 20 yearsabuch1980 wrote: ↑21 Mar 2025, 09:08Cause they know people will start at 8am anyway and they'll get 6 minutes a day free work = 2h free labour per postie per month.dirtylibrary wrote: ↑21 Mar 2025, 06:59Why does it have to be 8:06?! Re: new trials
So the duty holder on there all week besides possibly their days off, has an official timing over the week that adds up to duty holder's official contract hours and they don't want postie's officially arriving before the lorries are expected to have have and be unloaded?dirtylibrary wrote: ↑21 Mar 2025, 06:59Why does it have to be 8:06?! Yet we know many will turn up before their official start time, even if it's just to get that day's D2Ds in the frame, effectively working for free.

Re: new trials
At first I thought you meant sporting clubs within the company. I was thinking of the trophies in the canteen with 'Paisley District Five-a-Side Champions 1991' and '1st Place Fly Fishing Tournament 1978' and so on engraved on them. Indeed, all that went bye-bye quite some time ago. Sports and social clubs used to be something they promoted in recruitment!michael147 wrote: ↑21 Mar 2025, 06:14To be fair, apart from offices who are very near a local sporting club this went bye the bye a while ago.
I heard today that Workplace Coaches have been briefed regarding the proposed changes. I haven't had chance to pick anyone's brains yet and I'm assuming the worst, but given only one pilot office has been active for all of two(?) weeks that suggests to me it's going to be rolled out nationally regardless of the outcome.
