Everyone’s getting docked pay if you sign out early from April
Nationally or just in your office?

Does the sign out system automatically cover overtime? so you sign out 3 minutes late you get paid for those 3 minutes?

to be honest, I think a system like this should probably have 5 minutes of leeway both ways where you don't get deducted pay and don't get overtime 5 mins prior to and 5 mins after finish time. Too many people will just linger for a few minutes just to get 3 mins each day to get their pay up for the week - a little bit of pocket money....or more so, at the end of the day people often chill and chat so will be picking up overtime for doing so if they slip out the door late because of it.
You can just see RM saying that any OT worked has to be approved by a manager before it will be paid, but anybody scanning out early, or late at the start of their shift, will have their pay docked automatically by payroll.

Our office has got everything through the roof atm.

Letters , parcels , d2d’s the lot.

What happened to the massive drop off that was meant to happen ? We had one quiet week and it’s been chaos all year apart from that.

I don't really keep track of the Tracked.... but I am sure it's quite often that Mon + Tues will be quiet with parcels and then boom! Wednesday and Thursday they flood in....

Why is this, is this just the nature of how people shop, spending their Saturdays and Sundays buying stuff and that stuff comes through on Wednesday. You would have thought that if that's the case Mondays and Tuesdays would be the busiest Tracked days....

Is there anything Royal Mail can do to even the parcel numbers out through the week?

Customers probably spend the weekend shopping. The companies that are selling don't always open weekends so they need to process the orders and get them to royal mail who then need to move them through the system and get the to DOs. I don't think RM can do much about it to even it as they sell the products with targeted delivery times. Maybe they could offer a tracked economy service with a slower but significantly cheaper price. They could then hold these back like they do with the mail and release them to DOs when the priority tracked volumes dip a bit.

Locally the council tax letters have come through as DSA Economy. Loads been deferred by the DTS system. The DOs will get hammered when they all get released over the weekend. Don't think there's any local elections around here this May.

Sounds about right, for the last few years ours have arrived on a Saturday, I'm wondering if despite being a good idea in theory at the time when RM offered the lower price product the dts system is now a bit outdated and maybe becoming irrelevant due to the decline of 1st class letters these days.

I'll add when these bulk postings arrive at the do in most cases they don't get delivered straight away anyway so they still get delayed by at least a day, sometimes we'll be told we've got 3 days to deliver them, maybe the concept needs rethinking.

RM must have by now the data for the packets as we scan them at both the primary and secondary sort in MCs. Can only be a matter of time before they start feeding that data into the DTS system.
