I haven’t claimed to have any such knowledge or experience. Indeed, my subsequent posting in this thread made that point explicitly clear.

Your literally telling everyone that newbie's are doing all the work and the "old guard" are only doing half the parcels or whatever but like Londonburning said like my office the parcel drivers get away with six hours pay when only doing two not all the time but quite often.

Other offices don't have the newbie problems your describing

@Londonsburning, i'm DPR, I can assure you i work for six hours and a little more, only 40 mins, 20 getting ready before my shift and twenty mins sorting my stuff out after my shift.
Yesterday i did'nt leave the yard until 3.30pm (2pm start) due to waiting for a van, 77 parcels all delivered bar one to a closed business.

I guess your experience and my experience are different but still paint the picture of a failing business.

I delivered a parcel to a residential property yesterday and the lady said i was the second van to turn up that day, how can they be earning money?

If i held any, i would have sold my shares by now having seen what i've seen, and heard on here.

The leadership are incompetent. They run it like a public company when it is actually a private company. Many of those in leadership roles were around before it was privatised and their mentality hasn’t shifted so illogical planning is rife.

They will run it into the ground if they aren’t replaced.

Other offices don't have the newbie problems your describing

Every other office in our region has the same or very similar problems. I believe Space-Tout has also identified the very same “gripes” I point out in their post above

Every other office in my region hasn't got them problems,we can do this all day...some officers are run well and some aren't,seems to me you find it hard to say no to your workload being to much,the old guard just know when to say ef off to the dims.

I have no gripes at all with the work or workload. The workload is nothing when compared to my previous job as an Amazon DSP driver.

I'm not complaining about workload, i never have, i have however pointed out several areas of management failing to do their job properly, i've pointed out scheming manager hiding pouches with van keys and a pda inside only to appear 1.1/2 - 2 hours after clocking in meaning we are late leaving the S/O and often bringing parcels back that could have been delivered.

I came into this wanting to work for RM as i thought they would be a solid business with a quality structure in place, not a make it up as you go along system.

Your clearly in a s**t office,thing is it'll all change in a fortnight when Christmas is over you will see the difference hopefully you will be kept on and see a bit stability.

I think you're with a different agency but I've reported my agency (Angard) to the employment agency standards inspectorate. It's not anonymous so I'm almost certain to be binned off by the agency despite 2 years with Manpower but the way RM (Angard is a Royal Mail subsidary) exploit staff and with hold pay is not acceptable. Might be something you could do once your employment ends at Christmas. I'm currently owed in excess of 100 hours and my agency appear to have blocked my email address to avoid dealing with me.
Royal Mail in general is an utter s**t show.

I was asked if i was interested in staying on yesterday, i said it's 50/50. Need a few days to sleep on it.

Like i say the place is turmoil, they don't even know what time i'm due in today, waiting on a call, they said 9am it's now 10.15am!

Your so called manager has the authority to just input your 30 hours pay in a heartbeat. He's not fighting your corner

This is the mad period, you’re seeing it at it’s worst so deffo give it some thought and see what it’s like in January when it’s all calmed down
