People’s App/Basic Uniform

Post by Woody84 »

Is there anyway to order basic bit of uniform- Hi Vis vest and possibly a ‘waterproof’ jacket?

I’ve had a look and I can’t seem to find the section for uniform, or have RM cut all and any uniform allowance for new starters?

Right it’s finally there in the people’s app…

But now I’m undecided about sizes

I’m usually a XL in high vis gear and don’t want anything too fitting as I warm up quite quickly on walks (lol) so is sizing up to XXL worth it, or is the uniform quite loose anyway?

I know it’s a stupid question on an online forum and probably better asking my manager, but I’ve badgered them quite a bit with questions over the last 5 days and don’t want to piss them off too much lol.

Cheers all.

I would probably suggest either:

1. Finding someone in your office of the same build and ask them what size uniform they order.
2. Pick an option (like XL) and if it's not right...tell your manager you need to swap it for a different size. They can return them and get other size sent. I think, from memory, the items come with a form for swapping!?!

As above reply the best bet is to ask someone if you can try theirs on, yes you can send items back but it'd be better to get it right in the first place as your allowance only resets when they've got it back.

See the attached documents for help with sizing and ordering.

I'd strongly recommend getting yourself measured properly before ordering. I usually wear XL & XXL stuff, but based on my measurements, I ordered Large polo shirts, which fit comfortably.

The zip up Hi-Viz waistcoats do come up quite big (they assume you'll wear them over a coat) so I ordered a large, which is still quite baggy!

Even though I'm a large in polo shirts, I did order an XL storm jacket.

Thanks Richard.

Yeah I think I’ll get measured up first. Can’t be doing with the faff of sending it all back if it’s the wrong size.
